Roomy does not upload your photos or videos to The Boys Lab servers. The app has no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, Roomy account or developer-operated backend.
Photo library access
With your permission, Roomy reads the photos and videos available through Apple Photos to find cleanup candidates and display previews. It reads existing media metadata such as creation dates, dimensions, sizes, favorite status and location metadata where present. It does not request your device’s current location.
You can grant limited access to selected items or full photo library access, and change or revoke permission in Settings. Deletion uses Apple’s confirmation flow. Compression creates a new video copy and keeps the original unless you separately choose to delete it.
What stays on your device
Photo analysis, visual features and content hashing run on your device. Roomy stores local caches of photo identifiers, revision dates, size estimates, relevant media metadata, content hashes and visual signatures to avoid repeating work. Cached previews stay in app memory. Temporary video exports are removed after the save attempt.
Roomy updates or discards cached information when it detects media changes, and clears its accessible library state when permission is revoked. Removing the app removes its local app data according to iOS behavior. Photos and compressed copies saved in your Photos library remain under your control in Photos.
Apple services and iCloud
The app uses Apple Photos and StoreKit. Local scans do not request iCloud downloads. When you open previews or compress a video, Apple may download media from your iCloud Photos library. Your existing iCloud settings also govern synchronization of saved copies and deletions. Roomy does not receive your Apple Account password or iCloud credentials.
Apple processes Pro purchases, restores and refunds. Roomy verifies purchase entitlement using StoreKit on your device. We do not receive your payment card information or run a purchase server. Apple may separately process store, diagnostic or service information under its own policies and your device settings.
